Canonical link element

Google, Yahoo and Microsoft will support the Canonical Meta Tag. The Canonical Tag takes care of duplice content.

Example the following URL's are all different but have the same content:

• www.example.com
• example.com
• www.example.com/
• example.com/
• www.example.com/index.html
• example.com/index.html
• www.example.com/Home.aspx
• example.com/Home.aspx

Example of the Canonical tag:

<link href="http://www.joomlasearchengineoptimization.nl/">" rel="canonical"  />

In this example you will tell the search engines that the original and only content can be found on "http://www.joomlasearchengineoptimization.nl/".
